Riverworks Mixed-Use Development on Savannah’s Eastern Wharf

Riverworks is the first vertical construction in Savannah, Georgia’s Eastern Wharf master plan- a $600 million mixed-use development along the Savannah River. The establishment is comprised of apartments, as well as 30,000 square-feet of retail space, offices, and public parking.

Riverworks offers one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and studio apartments with Whirlpool stainless steel appliances, chef-inspired kitchens, and private balconies. Community amenities include a resort-style pool overlooking the Savannah River, poolside outdoor kitchen and entertainment area, lounge, garden lounge, and fitness center.

Atlas Surveying’s Savannah/Hilton Head office was hired to perform surveying services for the project. Under contract to Choate Construction Company, Atlas verified control, set temporary benchmarks throughout the site, and staked control lines, drainage, auger cast piles, floor drains, corridor points, wall points, and gridlines. Hub and tack was provided for the foundation and gridline intersections and topographic surveying was conducted for spoil piles. A foundation survey as well as under-construction and final elevation certificates were delivered.

Since it’s opening in 2021, Riverworks’ close proximity to Savannah’s restaurants, shopping, and nightlife have made it a popular housing option. Vice President of real estate company Square Mile Capital Management, LLC, Harris Neuberg, said “the Savannah market has seen immense growth over the past few years. Riverworks is among the highest quality properties in the city, with best-in-class apartment finishes and amenities overlooking the river. The Eastern Wharf neighborhood is fast-growing and should be one of the most exciting parts of Savannah in the coming years.”
