Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport

Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport in Greer, SC is conveniently located between Greenville and Spartanburg.  Although its 3,500 acres classifies it as a “small” airport, GSP International is the second-busiest airport in South Carolina, trailing only to the Charleston International Airport.

More than 50 million travelers have flown out of GSP International since its opening in 1962.  Over the years, steady business and population growth in the surrounding area has demanded this small airport to grow and undertake many improvements.

In September 2020, Atlas Surveying’s Greenville office was subcontracted to Graham County Land Company to perform construction staking services at GSP International Airport in preparation for a new taxi lane and hangar.  Atlas is currently in the process of verifying control and staking limits of disturbance, finish grade, pavement, storm drains and water.

This project is scheduled to be completed in 2022, when Atlas Surveying will also perform storm drain and water as-builts. The Atlas Surveying Greenville/Spartanburg office is proud to be an involved in a project that will improve such an integral part of the community as this historical landmark.
